John Packwood, CPA

John is an Audit Partner at Rossi Doskocil and Finkelstein (RDF). Before joining RDF, John was an Audit Partner with the international accounting firm KPMG, LLP and other “mid-tier” national firms. With over twenty years of experience, he has focused on mid-sized, public and privately held businesses in a variety of industries.

John’s significant experience includes working with companies in the following sectors:

Manufacturing - consumer and industrial products

Retail & restaurants

Media & Entertainment
Internet & ecommerce
Business services
Not-for-profit

John’s services to the above clients, among others, includes initial public offerings and secondary offerings, support in the structuring and integration of business acquisitions, and services related to the accounting for a variety of complex transactions. He has advised clients on processes and internal controls, including the implementation of, and ongoing compliance with, the provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. In addition to these services, John also brings experience in acquisition due diligence and transaction support services during his two year rotation in the mergers and acquisition advisory services practice at KPMG LLP.

John received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University, Long Beach and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and California Society of Certified Public Accountants. John’s community service activities include serving as a Board Member and Treasurer for the American Red Cross – Los Angeles Region, and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the St. Anne’s Foundation.
